ATTENTION, ALL BW TEAM MEMBERS

The annual review of BW's policies is underway! In our growing global organization, policies are necessary to explain and enhance how we work together. Each year, we take the opportunity to review and update our policy portfolio to ensure we are being responsible stewards of the company’s resources and fostering environments that help our team members feel safe, well and fulfilled.

Over the next few months in this space, we’ll highlight or clarify a new or revised BW Policy to help you understand what the changes mean and any actions you need to take.

Updated Delegation of Authority Policy enhances financial practices

The Delegation of Authority (DOA) Policy, which governs who can make decisions related to BW's assets and financial operations, has been updated to enhance internal control, effective risk management and the safeguarding of BW's assets.

Who does this affect? This policy applies to all team members involved in BW's strategic and financial decision-making.

What does this mean for you? Dollar limits and approval categories have changed. However, you should continue to follow the policy as you always have.

What is this replacing? The updated DOA Policy replaces the legacy Expenditure Authorization Policy. This decision was made to modernize our approach and establish a better foundation for governance and risk management rooted in the principle of people and performance in harmony.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Drives Consistency: Codifies existing business practices and creates alignment between divisions
  • Empowers Leaders: Aligns with BW's responsible freedom culture by giving division and platform leaders more authority to make decisions for their business.
  • Leverages Technology: Integrates the approval hierarch with Workday as a single source of truth, and implements workflows in current and future systems to streamline processes.

Did you know about this Windows clipboard shortcut?

If you haven’t discovered Windows clipboard yet, it’s time you give it a try! By pressing Windows logo key + "V" key, you’ll access the clipboard, which has saved up to the last 25 items you copied – text and images – starting with the most recent item at the top. If there’s an image, text or phrase that you need to paste frequently, click on the three dots next to that item and select “Pin.” Once pinned that item will remain in the clipboard even if you reboot your computer or “Clear all.” To configure clipboard history, go to Settings > System > Clipboard.
