As Group President, BW Converting, Stan Blakney drives reliable growth and profitability for the BW Converting Solutions Platform, while also fostering a culture focused on continuous improvement and organizational alignment. The platform unites six Barry-Wehmiller industry-leading businesses—Baldwin Technology Company Inc., Hudson-Sharp, Northern Engraving and Machine, Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC), STAX Technologies and Winkler+Dünnebier—which offer innovative, high-performance converting and packaging machinery for the tissue, nonwovens, hygiene, bag-converting, mailing and printing industries worldwide.
Stan joined the organization in 2019 as President of PCMC’s US operations, bringing 20-plus years of senior leadership experience in manufacturing, Lean expertise and a proven track record of successfully transforming business performance in challenging capital-equipment-manufacturing environments. In 2021, he assumed leadership of the growing BW Converting Solutions Platform.
Prior to Barry-Wehmiller, Stan was an integral part of culture and performance improvements at Goss International (now manroland Goss web systems) as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Before that, he held various leadership roles with the Rexnord Corporation (now Regal Rexnord), where he successfully led the operations of a multinational division, driving significant progress in profitability and customer satisfaction across seven facilities in six countries.
Stan holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
