I’ve said hundreds of times that I will not go to my grave proud of the machines we’ve built.
At Barry-Wehmiller, our people are our purpose. We are in business so that our team members around the world can have meaningful and fulfilling lives.
It was a long journey to get where we are today. Our higher purpose was the result of hard realizations and the work of many people in our organization, but now it is one of the principles that unites and drives us.
Articulating your higher purpose as an organization can be difficult. It must be inspirational. It must unite your people. It must explain the unique gift you bring to the world.
On this episode of the Everybody Matters Podcast, a number of experts and practitioners get into the nuts and bolts of getting started in finding and articulating your purpose. You’ll hear from Nick Craig of Core Leadership Institute, Stacey Tank of The Home Depot and Marc Braun and John Kramer of Cambridge Engineering (now Cambridge Air Solutions.)
This is the third part of our Higher Purpose Series which features insight from the Organizational Higher Purpose Conference hosted by the Bauer Leadership Center at Washington University in St. Louis. I encourage you to listen to part one and part two.
