INSPIRED: Kyle Gisburne

Within the heart count of Barry-Wehmiller, there are more than 12,000 full and part-time team members, as well as contracted and freelance talent whom we regularly bring into our fold.

But, even though the freelance and contracted people aren’t official employees, that doesn’t make those precious sons or daughters any less valuable to us. They are still lives within our span of care.

Kyle Gisburne is a freelance videographer and editor who has worked with our company for a number of years. His first project included bringing his gifts and talents to bear on the documentary based on my book, Everybody Matters: The Extraordinary Power of Caring for Your People Like Family.

From that project to video work he performed for some of our manufacturing companies, Kyle had the opportunity to collaborate with many of our team members and experience different aspects of Barry-Wehmiller.

“For me, Truly Human Leadership, it really means giving that person what they truly need to feel fulfilled in their job,” Kyle said. “It’s finding the things that make them feel that they’re cared for, that they’re trusted, that they have a path to finding what fulfills them, what makes them human, and what makes them the most complete human that they can be… When you come into work, you don’t have to shut off, you don’t have to be a robot, you can be you. And that’s what Truly Human Leadership is to me.”
