More than a thousand people will hear this message next week. More than a thousand leaders and future leaders. The ripple effect of sharing this message of caring could have a significant effect on the families impacted by work related pressure and stress that we have seen around the world when we focus singularly on shareholders.
This is why I am always inspired and honored to deliver the message of Truly Human Leadership to any audience, anywhere. I have dedicated the rest of my life to helping leaders realize that the impact they have on the health and family life of those they lead. And to spread the message that profits do not have to come at the expense of people. In fact, caring and value creation are in harmony!
Ultimately, it’s about the dream of building a better world through the power of business.
We can do this by moving away from the singular focus on shareholder value and working towards leadership practices that create safe and caring environments. Environment where people feel valued for who they are and what they do as we collectively aspire to a vision that creates value for all stakeholders.
Business could be the most powerful force for good if it simply cared about the lives it touches. Next week, we hope to recruit many more voices in the chorus of spreading this message.
