UK Financial Service Centre joins BW Corporate Finance

The Packaging UK Finance Service Centre has transitioned to the Corporate Finance team, aligning with BW’s strategic vision. This transition aims to unify finance services under common leadership, enhance service delivery and create new career opportunities. The UK FSC, led by Mariela Pacheco, will continue to provide its high level of service and report to Scott Fortkamp, VP & Global Controller.

BW Forsyth Partners and Machine Solutions Inc. announce new company partnerships

BW Forsyth Partners has made a strategic, minority investment in Matter Family Office, an independent multi-family office renowned for its integrated, comprehensive wealth management philosophy as well as distinctive culture and learning services. Also, Machine Solutions Inc., a provider of advanced equipment and services for the medical device market, has acquired Alpine Laser LLC, which specializes in state-of-the-art laser processing solutions.

BW Packaging to showcase packaging solutions at PACK EXPO

BW Packaging will showcase the Thiele UltraStar G2 Bagger, the Hayssen R300 Flow Wrapper and OpView™ HMI in booth S-2100 at PACK EXPO International, held November 3 to 6 in Chicago. These solutions are designed to boost efficiency, streamline operations and address key challenges facing today’s packaging industry.

BW Papersystems celebrates shipment of 200th Twin Box Slitter

Green Bay Packaging in Lebanon, Ohio recently purchased the 200th Twin Box Slitter® from BW Papersystems. This BWP product allows manufacturers to efficiently create a wide range of corrugated box sizes, from very small to large on one machine, with the potential to double productivity at the same time. Congrats to all team members over the last 31 years who worked to make this product a success!

Four Golden Shoe winners announced at BW Executive Meeting

BW senior leaders from across the organization met in Aspen, CO (US) in early October for the annual Executive Meeting. In addition to hearing about FY24 overall performance and FY25 goals and strategy, the event included presentations about the transformation 

underway within our Global Supply Chain, Additive Manufacturing, Digital Innovation, Continuous Improvement and BW’s Amplify ERP and DG’s ERP. Golden Shoe Awards, for outstanding business performance, were handed out to: Alliance, Design Group, Afinitas and BW Flexible Systems. Special 

recognition was given to Pneumatic Scale Angelus (now BW Filling & Closing) President Bill Morgan who will retire in March 2025.

BW Operational Excellence Cohort presents strategic projects

Recently, the FY24 Operational Excellence Cohort presented their strategic project results to the Senior Leadership Team at BW's headquarters in St. Louis, MO (US). Throughout the process, participants from various BW divisions received coaching from the BW Continuous Improvement Team and designated platform leaders. 

Shine the Light Award: Judi Jackman, BWFS-Brooklyn Park

Congratulations to Judi for receiving an award for Drives Results. Her nominator Jim Blanda said "Judi, your hard work, organization and dedication to Upgrades has resulted in numerous customer pull-ins, OTD increases and overall, has greatly contributed to the success of the Upgrades area. We are thankful and proud to have you as a member of the Upgrades team."

Shine the Light Award: Lisa Russell, BWP-Hunt Valley

Congratulations to Lisa for receiving an award for Instills Trust. Her nominator Tracy Newell said, "Lisa has been a great source of knowledge about BWP and the Inside Sales department. She cheerfully assists me and anyone else who has a question or needs direction. Lisa wears many hats, from Inside Sales to the Travel and CORE teams. Lisa gives 100% to every role. Shine the Light Award: Péter Csercsa, BWP-Budapest

Congratulations to Péter for receiving an award for Drives Results. Majzik Richárd his nominator said, "Peter has become a key player in the successful and rapid resolution of projects. He takes on extra tasks on his own to help his other partners move projects forward. It's reassuring to know that he can be relied upon to help the team through tough situations. Thanks to his proactive and reliable work, we can look back on several projects successfully completed on time."

Congratulations to Chris for receiving an award for Instills Trust. His nominator Robin DeBruine said Chris "goes anywhere that is needed, whether it's training in RAPs, assisting in receiving or pick, pack and shipping. Chris has been instrumental in getting the 2DSF area cleaned and other various projects to improve the area. I feel he's made WH2 a better place to work and more efficient. We will work better as a team and more efficiently by the example Chris leads."

Congratulations to Mark for receiving an award for Instills Trust. Barry-Wehmiller was recently featured in a new book by Jacob Stoller, "Productivity Reimagined: Shattering Performance Myths to Achieve Sustainable Growth". Jacob talks about the book, which seeks to redefine definitions of what productivity really is and what it should mean to business and it's people on a new episode of the Truly Human Leadership Podcast.

Through Goal Setting, team members and their leaders partner to define what will be done to support the business. To familiarize yourself with the process, please watch the Goal Setting e-Learning and check out more trainings, job aids and goal authoring resources on the Elevate intranet page HERE or by going to bw.care/performancecycle. The Goal Setting process, including goal authoring and inputting into Workday, should be completed by December 31, 2024.
