PCMC opens state-of-the-art Packaging Innovation Center

PCMC celebrated the opening of its Packaging Innovation Center inside its headquarters in Green Bay, Wisconsin (USA) with a grand opening attended by more than 70 customers, suppliers and area supporters. The modern facility focuses on the printing and packaging industries and will serve as a resource for training, demos, industry trials, research and more!

Design Group - India (DG) moves into new space

DG recently opened a 200-seat office in Chennai, India, expanding its presence in the region. Chennai-based DG and BW equipment design solutions and corporate team members celebrated by lighting a lamp (see photo above) which, in Hindu culture, represents the element of fire, dispelling away darkness and brightens with Purity, Good Luck and Positivity. The move serves as a major step in DG's journey of growth!

Rachana Creeth, as the new Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer for BWPS, will lead the platform's finance function and add leadership of supply chain and operational excellence. By aligning projects with their strategic priorities, she also aims to maximize supply chain and operations excellences initiatives.

Marius Batrin promoted to President of Alliance

Alliance, a leader in the manufacturing of automated paperboard packaging equipment for the production of corrugated boxes, has elevated Marius Batrin to President. He formerly served as VP of Engineering, Global Development and Innovation since 2011. Marius succeeds Mark Duchesne, who retired after leading for 21 years.

BWFS' Chris Frank promoted to VP of Operations

As the new Vice President of Operations, Chris Frank will direct leadership for the engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and field service teams across the company’s global locations. He has been a BWFS team member for 15 years and was most recently VP of Customer Service.

Many celebrations and recognition events were put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This pause gave us a chance to reflect on and reimagine how we approach recognition. Recently, CEO Bob Chapman and a group of team members from around the world gathered in Phillips, Wisconsin (USA) to reevaluate how we look for the goodness in our organizations and rethink how to make recognition special.

Recognition: Hassan Awil of PSA/ Accraply

Congratulations to People Leader Hassan Awil of PSA/Accraply in Ontario, Canada, who received a surprise video recognition during the reimagining recognition summit (above-mentioned). His colleagues and family expressed Hassan's optimism, can-do attitude, willingness to help and natural ability and passion to inspire, coach and communicate are just a few reasons for the well-deserved recognition. Last month, BW hosted a group of 24 Fordham and other university professors and business leaders in Phillips, Wisconsin (USA) to collaborate on bringing humanistic leadership to business schools. Bob shared the goal of the initiative, called Humanizing Business Education, is “to transform business education from being institutions that train people to ‘manage’ into institutions that foster humanistic leaders who honor individual dignity and demonstrate the courage to care for others.” Click HERE to listen to a podcast featuring BW’s Director of Strategy, Improvement & Culture Brian Wellinghoff and Fordham Professor Michael Pirson who are leading this effort and HERE to watch a short video featuring some of the professors and business leaders involved.
