Recognizing and celebrating team members across Barry-Wehmiller for their contributions to our vision of people and performance in harmony is not only the right thing to do, it is a fundamental value of our culture.

Through the Every Voice Matters survey many of you shared the desire to see more recognition, and in response to that we encourage everyone, everywhere, to join us here in highlighting all of the great things happening across Barry-Wehmiller.

This newsletter will serve to celebrate a variety of achievements across the globe and showcase areas of our BW Recognition & Celebration culture from the Bob Chapman GPL Award program, the Shine the Light Award program, the CIA2 Sales Empowerment program, and more!

Scott Reichhelm

"Over the last year, Scott has helped lead a massive improvement in how well Stores functions. He has made a very meaningful contribution to our entire operation. If Stores doesn’t function properly…nothing else in our entire business can run well. Material receipts, inventory accuracy, kitting have all experienced huge gains based on his hard work, dedication and leadership. "I have had the opportunity to work with Jim for the past several years. Jim is very loyal to his team and what I admire the most about him is his passion that he has to bring out and celebrate the best in others. He is great at recognizing the gifts and talents that the team members on his team have. Jim is a great coach for his team and also looks for them to grow within his span of care. Everytime I have the opportunity to work with Jim he brings a positive approach at how to handle a situation and always speaks with facts and filters out the emotions. Jim is a vital part of our team!"

"One of the greatest signals to me that Barry-Wehmiller is living out its values over the last year was the promotion of Rachana Creeth to Packaging President. Rachana exudes our Commitments with every fiber of her being- especially the ability to make others better. Despite her deserved senior standing in the organization, I never feel intimidated or diminished in any conversation with Rachana. Rather, I feel more confident, more authentically myself, and more able to bring my gifts. Rachana achieves this by building trust with everyone around her. She also optimizes work processes by providing constant gentle pressure to be better- for the benefit of everyone at BW. I look forward to every interaction with Rachana and for the harmony of people and performance that I am confident will continue to grow in her organization."

"Jérémy leads several complex projects at the same time (Versatech, Yoplait, PET Tools etc...) putting all his energy into them, in order to adjust the machines for optimal operation, satisfy customers as much as possible, while remaining extremely professional. His involvement, his rigor and his great knowledge of Arcil machines greatly improves the image of Filling & Closing among customers. Beyond his job as a developer, he goes beyond his duties by also trying to improve work processes by proposing solutions or other ways of operating. It embodies exactly what Filling & Closing needs."

Yanah Hossain

BW Design Group Nominator Joe Olewinski shared:

"Yanah has tackled some of the most challenging analytical equipment as a new professional. Using her background in R&D, she utilized her knowledge of flow cytometry to validate it as one of her first systems.To meet aggressive client timelines, she took on multiple executions spanning temperature -controlled units and manufacturing equipment in a single week, putting in long hours and solving problems real-time with the client and project team. I am thankful for her upbeat attitude by approaching travel and excitement to go to one of the most challenging client sites I'd argue anyone in DG will have ever gone to."

Jaymini Panchal

Gandhinagar, India

BW Converting Nominator Vaibhav Pandit shared:

"I would like to nominate Jaymini Panchal because she is performing exceptionally well since she joined and has grown considerably. Her attitude for all tasks is very positive. Jaymini has consistently shown dedication to her work to ensure her duties are carried out in a timely manner. Support we received from Jaymini has allowed us to manage our AP and AR effectively, and her performance effectively credits our organisation."

David Richardson

Remote, USA

BW Forsyth Partners Nominator Greg Nickols shared:

"Our CARR Biosystems Senior Applications Scientist David has played a significant role not only in our successful machine demos which led to an eventual sale, but also in the continual improvement and functionality of our equipment. His work with customers in their use of our equipment and their process development has had a positive and significant impact on bringing their product(s) to market. Recently he worked with the customer to improve their cell recovery when using our equipment and had a significant role in working with our Engineering group to bring about improved software changes which resulted in the sale of two more machines."

Mark Reimer 

Reedley, CA USA

BW Packaging Nominator Katrina Sorsby shared:

"Mark supported BW Integrated Systems Doncaster with the introduction of digital drawing packets to improve our work processes. Mark explained the process and provided everything necessary to apply the process into BWIS Doncaster. Mark worked during weekends and quickly resolved the queries that we had with the testing and introduction stages. Mark worked above and beyond expectation to help the Doncaster team get this in place. This has reduced the process time for Outsource supply in BWIS Doncaster and helped to remove our reliance on AutoPrint. We truly appreciate the time Mark has dedicated to support the introduction of digital drawing packets into our Doncaster site. Thank you Mark, your support has been invaluable."

Jelena Radovanović  

Čačak, Serbia

BW Converting Nominator Nemanja Pavićević shared:

"Jelena is a Sales Assistant who is supporting Sales Executives for Europe and Latin America, which contributed 78% of total sales for STAX Technologies in FY24. Besides commercial knowledge, she has responsibilities for T&C and contract negotiations. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Japanese, and on many occasions she has helped Sales Executives to connect with clients more easily and effectively which has resulted in tremendous trust in our company. Furthermore, she is teaching STAX team members Spanish so we can support clients from Latin America in more advanced ways. Jelena is a true example of what a Sales Assistant should be."

BW Design Group Recognized 2024 Recognition Programs Award Recipients

Recently, BW Design Group announced the award recipients of the “Leaders Defining Tomorrow” and “Engineering and Technical Excellence” recognition programs. Out of more than 300 global nominations, 28 team members were selected. These awards highlight positive behaviors that support BW's vision and foster a culture of mutual respect and recognition. Congratulations to all recipients for their outstanding contributions and exemplifying the values that make BW Design Group an industry leader. 

Bringing BWU to Asia

Yasmin Nehls - BW Papersystems Vice President, People shared:

"In November we hosted our first ever Chinese speaking LLAL in Dongguan, China. The team involved in making this happen did an awesome job translating and preparing everything. Our professor, Cherry Chen, taught for the first time and did amazing! Jaslyn Lee helped her with all of the preparations and organizational tasks. Another shout out goes to Emily Desloge for all of her support in the background! Thank you to the entire team for making this happen!"
