Tim Sullivan

Group President, Paper & Converting

Tim SullivanTim provides leadership and guidance for two Barry-Wehmiller platforms: BW Paper Systems and BW Converting Solutions.

Within the BW Paper Systems Platform are BW Papersystems and Alliance Machine Systems International. BW Papersystems combines extremely strong brands—including BW Bielomatik, Curioni, JAG SYNCHRO, Kugler-Womako, MarquipWardUnited, SHM, VortX, WillPemcoBielomatik and Wrapmatic—with long-standing global experience in the corrugating and finishing; sheeting and packaging; and stationery, book-binding and security-documents industries. Alliance Machine Systems International is a leading provider of corrugated-box-manufacturing machines and services for the paperboard-packaging industry.

Barry-Wehmiller divisions Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC) and Winkler + Dünnebier GmbH (W+D) make up the BW Converting Solutions Platform. PCMC supports the tissue, nonwovens, package-printing and envelope-manufacturing industries worldwide. The division provides rewinding, laminating, printing, embossing, perforating and packaging equipment for tissue and towels; folding and converting machines; and a complete range of flexographic printing presses. Serving the mail and postal industry, as well as the tissue and hygiene industry, W+D has core competence in the converting and processing of thin and in-homogeneous materials—such as paper, tissue and nonwovens—at high speeds and tight tolerances.

In addition to his platform leadership, Tim plays a central role in Barry-Wehmiller’s strategic acquisition initiatives, having been involved in many of the organization’s 80-plus acquisitions since he joined Barry-Wehmiller as the Director of Corporate Development in 1989. He also has previously offered his skills as Director of Customer Service, Chief Financial Officer and President of Pneumatic Scale Angelus, a division of Barry-Wehmiller.

Tim has a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles.
